“But I’m a nice person!”

Hostility is never a friendly environment. To examine this we ask that you shift your awareness to your own words and actions. You have experienced hostility but have you or do you contribute to hostility?

“Of course not!” “I would never!” “I’m the kindest soul on the planet!”

This may be true, but while you need not adjust your life due to the perspective of others, be aware that your actions may not be perceived the way you intend them. We ask that you ensure your words, actions, and intentions are clear. “I’m a happy and outgoing person!” Do you extend a hand and kind word to the new coworker? Or to the human standing next to you at the train station or bus stop? “But I’m really nice, if they wanted to talk I’m right here!” YOU are the being that has the burden of awareness. Don’t assume that the right mindset is all the world needs. Your existence is more than just what resides in your mind. Use physical action and audible words to share those kind aspects of yourself with strangers, with family, with every soul you meet. Take those good intentions and positive vibes inside you and bring them out for the world to see.

Start with a smile and saying “hello” instead of passing someone as you walk. You can have a tremendous impact that you may never truly know.
