“They” aren’t the enemy. “They” don’t exist.

Too often a person becomes locked into their routine of thought or of physical practice and are not aware. It does not take a co side table effort to be “self aware” but so many in your existence do not take time for reflection, nor introspection. It is a matter of thought that travels you to the inside of your mind and also thought that allows you to be the observer from the outside.

Ask yourself what it is you believe you are doing and “why” you are doing it. What conflicts do you experience because of this? Do others need to come to your same conclusion? These are not leading questions, we do not expect you to have the same approach in each situation or each decision. Nor is careful consideration required for the most mundane situations.

Many demand change in your society and abroad. Too many in the popular culture identify and label any form of change as subversive. It is blamed on the age of the person, the gender of the person, or politics or anything else of the person. When you blame millennials, as an example, you are placing blame upon a temporary label. Come to terms with the idea that you have lived and will live more lives. All that you see and measure in yourself and others is typically temporary and impermanent. You are assigning responsibility for your hate to some arbitrary and impermanent concept.

It is not your duty to maintain the world as it has always been. It is not your responsibility to allow the popular and impermanent popular view to dictate your beliefs and actions. You are so much more than what’s on the surface. And yet, the surface gets all the attention. Everyone stops at the surface.

Do more. Go deeper. Go farther. Push boundaries. Ask questions. Create solutions.
