You think you are trapped, but you aren’t. It’s a simple idea, but our thoughts on this are complex. This is not to say that things are better than you think they are- this is not a warning that the “grass is always greener on the other side.” Someone told you that you were in a cage and that’s where you belong. You feel down and trapped by this. But the problem isn’t that you’re in a cage- the problem is that you accepted being in this cage as your purpose. Are you here to sing a song for those who keep you in this cage? Or have you even thought about what is outside the cage that you want? Stop waiting for someone else to tell you that you are worth more or that you can have more. Exit your comfort zone- travel through the pain and the disruption. This is what leads you to glory. Break up with the mountains of success people have told you to climb. Move the mountains that are in your way with your core values. Find the people you can influence and sing a song of your vision. Stop getting ready to get ready and do it because you know you can. Your gifts are designed for others, not for yourself, so it’s up to you to give it to them. You might be in the cage, but the door isn’t shut. Who do you want to be? How do you want your story to end up? Who have you influenced and who have you gained? This is your purpose.
