Convert Your Saved Youtube Video
You should be here because you already saved a Youtube video and now want to convert it to audio or some other video format. If you are familiar with anything like this you will know that there are some websites will will download AND convert your video all at once. These are simple to use but have a habit of disappearing. I don't want to update this page EVER because I'm lazy, I'm showing you what works and what should continue to work.
Upload
You have your saved flash file, now go to Media Convert. Here you can see there are many options and that they will even host your file for free. All you're concerned with right now is uploading your video. So go ahead, click the browse button and find the file you saved from the download step.
Now change the "input format" to "Flash Video (flv)" - DO NOT leave this on automatic. Now change the "Output Format" to the file type of your wildest dreams!!!!!!! 1!1 !!!1 If you want an audio file so you have the song to your music video select MP3, if you want a windows media video, choose the correct format. When you're done, click "OK" and you're done, just save the new file.
KNOW THIS!!!!
The audio or video or audio and video quality is only going to be as good as (usually just a hair less than) the video you downloaded. When you add a video to Youtube the quality suffers because everything is "shrunk" to save space. Some videos are ok to watch and others are horrible, it just depends on the quality the original person uploaded.
